About
Local places, run by local people.
Free State Finds is a free directory of independent gyms, studios, trainers and martial arts schools in Anne Arundel and Howard counties, Maryland.
What we list
Businesses with a real location or service area in Anne Arundel and Howard counties that are owned and run locally. We leave out national chains, franchises and multi-state gym groups, because they already have plenty of ways to be found.
How listings stay accurate
We check each listing against the business's own website and its Google listing before it goes up, and we remove places that close. If we can't confirm a detail, we leave it off. Owners can claim their listing to correct it or add details. If you spot something wrong, tell us.
Who runs it
Free State Finds is run by Deane Boone at SMB Evolution (Plutus Technology Group LLC), based in Anne Arundel County. SMB Evolution helps local businesses show up on Google, Maps and AI search. Listings here are free and don't depend on working with us.
Grounded CrossFit in Hanover is an SMB Evolution client. Being a client doesn't change whether or how a business is listed.
